Beginning with Jan Ruckl's first factory in Cyranův Wostrov, the company expanded under Antonín Ruckl, who founded the Nižbor glassworks in 1903, strategically near a new railway for innovation and growth. After the Velvet Revolution, Jiří Ruckl, a descendant of the founder, reclaimed the family legacy by buying back the Nižbor factory in 1992. Today, Ruckl combines centuries-old hand-cut crystal techniques with contemporary design, collaborating with leading artists like Kateřina Handlová. Each piece reflects precision, passion, and the rich heritage of Czech glassmaking, making Ruckl a symbol of timeless elegance and craftsmanship that continues to inspire and captivate crystal lovers worldwide.
